I'm only going to say that I should thank the internet for still owning both of these and I'm not giving it up yet. :) Why should I, really?

The moment when 1M got that 'showcar' finish

So last 2 days ago, I actually re-apply full wax on 1M. Yes, after 2 weeks or so inda be-cuci since the last VAG-Meet I had. Then I thought like, "Inda puas hati eh".. I decided something which I wouldn't do occasionally.

I decided to go for this time of what happens if I'm going to apply another coat of Meguiar's Techwax within that 2 days later. And the result?

Well, cuci dulu lagi sekali. Pebaik bersih since the last wash + first coat of wax. I noticed a few dusts and small bugs on it but nothing berabisly dirty, but still that must be cleaned first before applying the wax:

Drove back home after the wash. I immediately took my wax sponge, Meguiar's Techwax and I'm off to apply another coat.

Result (No I didn't even touched the levels):

Thing is.. to be honest, this showcar shine (yes I'm saying it so.. you gotta see it in RL to believe it) only lasts for..... a few days.

Yes, I'm saying that from experience of how long this Techwax lasts after applying one coat that is. Though, I don't know if applying two coats this time would prolong the span-period of the coating but we'll see.

If it doesn't seem to hold up for two weeks.. hmm, maybe I should try another brand. Gah, so much work for detailing care, lol..

1M's Engine Bay Update

Another Engine Bay update.

So I decided to ditch the old and cheap looking couplers with a better T-Band Clamp and some real 3-Ply Silicone Hoses from eBay which I got for a total of $100.

Tools used, well pretty much just I decided to only use these actually:

- 2.5" 3-Ply Black Silicone with 2 T-Band Clamps
- (2) 2.5" - 2.75" 3-Ply Black Silicone with 4 T-Band Clamps

Yes, all these for $100. Now you know why I bought these from eBay. *grins*

So firstly I started by removing the Engine Bay cover, covered by 4 Socket Cap Screws.

Here I used the Socket Screw Cap Wrench to remove it.

With the Engine Cover removed, I can have a better access to the coupling which connects from the Custom Intake Pipe I made to the Throttle Body here.

Then with a flat-head screw driver, I loosened the worm-type clamps that connects the MAF Sensor itself.

For the Throttle Body Clamps, it was from the stock Airbox. I used pliers to cramp the clamps and remove it.

Of course, after removing the old couplers, I fixed the new Silicone hoses and tighten it with my pliers though. Didn't had my nut-wrench so yeah. Fits like a glove.

Job done. Easy DIY much? ;)

Refitted back the Engine Cover (which should be a common sense). And yeah, that should take care of it. No more seeping un-metered air entering the intake pipe during heavy acceleration. Huuraahh!

More updates soon which involves the vacuum, fuel and water lines. I'm also doing a new bracket for my Oil Catch Tank which will come later.

Oh? You might be wondering what are my goals for this car, really?

Went to the nearby Pandan 4 Tyre Workshop to have a check on 1M's shoes with Acie. Met Azman there too, checking up his tyre.

Did a rebalance for $20 bucks. The car finally rides like it should!

Oh before this since I changed the tyres, ARS workshop never did the balancing right like... TWICE. Well, I got these "Westlake S308" tyres from them for like $160 each (18"). Yes, with that price.. it's not as grippy as you would expect it. The wheels constantly shook and crap after sending the car for a rebalance at ARS. Careless much?

I just don't know why, but with such reputable products they're selling.. I think I'm willing to give them another chance this time if I would ever go there.

And I'm happy that my car feels right now!

And oh, I just remembered too. We had a small chat with the owner of the tyre shop. Talking about random things like customer relations and everyday life thing. What makes me reminded about this, he said that:

"What's the most important thing between human and human?" - Trust.

Launching of the new Golf Mark 6

So on 10-07-2009, Maju Motors invited me and the members of the VAG Club Brunei and VGOC (Volkswagen Golf Owners Club) to the launching of the new Volkswagen Golf Mark 6.

The event started on 9.30AM and lasted until 12.00PM. It was a pretty straight-forward event with quite a welcoming and soothing environment as there was a live band "Aces" during the occasion.

I couldn't took my eyes off the band as I realized it was the band that my ex-band mates told me, back in 2004 there was a band who covered "Dream Theater" too. And there I was, witnessing that band.. But no, obviously they didn't played any DT songs during the event!

Got my stuffs from eBay. Took like almost a month to get here! (Hello? Post Office? Slacking off much) and that wasn't their first time. So I bought these at the same day on eBay (26th May) and arrived today (25th June) using Paypal. But sounds about right I guess, considering how Post-Pelahan they are.

1M's mis-fire solving tale

So I tried to keep myself busy, trying to think something else other than "that" :) .. Well, umm.. few things happened lately.

Firstly, I was in a dilemma in fixing 1M. You could read this first: Click

Okay fine if you don't bother clicking that link, here's a summary of it:

"1M's getting misfires". There? Short enough? :b Okay, moving on..

So yeah at first, I thought my coil packs were done and gone. I know, I should have been more thorough with my diagnosis on finding what caused 1M's to stutter/misfire so suddenly. But heck, the symptoms were quite the same. Even searching up on forums always gaved me the result "Replace the coil packs", or.. "Yeap, coil packs on these cars are prone to fail".

So I thought maybe I'll ask my dad to help me buy the coil pack while they're going vacation to Singapore. Heck cheaper there than 'MM' (Sorry :b).

It was at the right time that my parents were on vacation, so yeah.. after their 2 days of vacation, right after they set their footsteps at the main door.. I was about to ask my when he gave me 'the' look which looks like he knew what I'm going to ask. He went, "Dalam kereta tu barang iwan ah".

Off I went downstairs with the dad.. opened up the Odyssey's boot, and took out a big brown luggage box. Like a kid waiting for his favorite toy to be given, I was quite excited really.

Then I saw took out the "gem", and gaved me teh "Coil Pack"! (Choir chimes)

............. *10 seconds elapsed*

Okay not much effect on you? Nevermind.

So you think that I'm going to send 1M to the workshop to fix this thing? ... Think again, NO! Heck, I was so willing to do it myself that I went up to the net again to see guides on how to remove the coilpack and replacing it. The result:

(Uhh, ohh.. shiny pack)

But in the end the whole fun and joy ended when I fired up the engine, and gave some gas to the pedal. Guess what? THE MISFIRE IS STILL THERE!

I was kinda disappointed in a way, but not yet given up.. since I thought it's the electrical, I might start off checking on the fuses in the fuse panel (mine's located on the driver's side, near the driver's door card).

One by one, I checked for any blown fuse. And then, a worthy find! I found a blown fuse! It was Fuse #43, with the description: "Engine Control Elements" (Fuel Pump Relay, MAF and O2 Sensor Related). It's rated at 10A, so I thought.. "Hey, this might be the whole problem?". But seriously, I went all through replacing the coil pack and getting my hands dirty for a 50c problem??

It was 11.00PM at the time, so yes Soon Lee's closed, Milimewah's closed, and heck any shops are already closed at the time here in Belait. The solution? Sneak up my dad's room, take one of the car's key.. and find a spare fuse in that car. The victim? My mum's BMW E46. :x Checked in the fusebox and found one lucky 10A fuse that I needed! Locked the car back, and kept the keys back to where I got em' and continued with my progress.

So I ran up to 1M and quickly fitted the replacement fuse in slot fuse #43. Second attempt, fired up the engine.. and, I was kinda reluctant to give some gas and to found out that the fuse did nothing to fix the problem. After a good 'stare' at the tachometer for a minute.. I decided to give it a go. Well unfortunately, I was right. it didn't helped anything at all.

Though, I can hear the fuel pump relay clicking now every time I put the ignition key in (It should work that way). Don't ask me why. Any VAG owners would say the same. Hmm so I wondered how can the fuse be blown and the engine still can be turned on? Cause, if the fuel pump's power was cut (via blown fuse), there would be no fuel being pumped and I wouldn't have any combustion work going on! But, whatever it is.. I just left that alone and gaved up. I decided to continue working the car the next morning.

So then, I got these fixed so far:
- Replaced the Ignition Coil pack
- Replaced Fuse #43 (Engine Control Elements)

Then I got back to my laptop again.. trying to find and source out anyone's having this problem. Currently it was around 2.00AM. So I went on searching after searching, looking for solutions to the problem. Things got more difficult when I realised there's almost no one that had this problem before

After countless searches, I found a breakthrough after hours of searching. I found 1 thread at vwvortex.com's forum describing the same exact problem, but his solution was replacing the O2 Lambda Sensor (An oxygen sensor for the ECU to calculate Air/Fuel Ratio for optimal combustion) which costs around $180. Hell no I'm trying to buy this one and think that it might solve the problem. I think I'm missing one more thing to diagnose before getting another new part!

7.00AM, there's just about enough sunlight to start working on my car again. No I haven't got myself, and I can't (despite I thought that I could go to bed) go to sleep. Took my tools down, and the 1M keys. I know it will be a long morning.

This time, I attempted the following:
- Re-plumb and check for any Crankcase Breathing leak (The previous time when I installed the Oil Catch Tank). Just incase if the misfire was because of this one by any chances? i.e. Running lean due to the leak.
- Get it done with the vacuum lines. (It had cracks, here and there at the line)
- Replace the OBX Iridium Spark Plugs with OEM NGK ones (Just incase if the Iridiums are the problem)

So yeah, one by one.. I fixed up the lines for the Oil Catch Tank to make sure it wasn't leaking anything at all. This of course in effect, should make the engine's ventilation function as it should without any air leaks. Checked!

Next, The vacuum line. Well, I practically ripped off the old 'hardened' vacuum lines due to heat. This one was one of the worthy DIY I've ever done. Fired up the engine after doing the Crankcase Leak Check and Vacuum line replacing. The effect was better idle, and heck.. my 'warm-up' idle has came back! (Warm-up idle: A feature which increases the engine speed a little to 1,500rpm to speed up the warm-up process when starting cold). Following are my new vacuum lines:

At this point the misfire is still there though. I confirmed and thought that it's certainly a bad electrical circuit somewhere and, kinda gaved up to how solve the misfire problem.

I even went up for help from VAG Club Brunei to let me borrow them their VAGCom (A diagnostic tool for the ECU to find any electrical faults). But hell, I was being so impatient waiting for it and heck went to try replacing the spark plugs as planned.

Upon removing the spark plugs, guess what I found?

A broken tip on the Iridiums! Damn it. Of course it would misfire, because there's no specific ignition point for the spark plug to ignite. It was eroded off by some.. thingy, I'm not sure. But by looking at the Spark Plug reading guide, it leads to me that the tip was a conclusion from being too warm/hot operating ranges for the spark plugs to operate.. which made me recalled back about my overheating problem back then when I had the waterpump issue!

So yeah, upon replacing the spark plugs.. she breathes better now, and hell.. I went all WOT with joy, and practically enjoying the and paying all the time spent trying to diagnose the car!

Bear in mind that I'm just working in my garage. She's fixed, fixed and fixed! *grins widely* .. Oh, it was already around 11.00AM by now, lol.

So I kinda learned few things here, and to the rest of you readers: Get a checklist and mark each one off while diagnosing for a problem! Makes your life easier that way. You could even fix things that you're weren't actually supposed to in the first place! (Like in my case, the vacuum lines)

I know it was all time consuming just to fix one problem, but hell... you gotta believe the effort that pays off when you're done doing everything right. Where's the fun if you're going to send to the workshop and let them fix it? Yeah.. I enjoy doing car fixes by myself!

I'm happy. :) So yeah, that's all for 1M's updates.

It's been awhile I've blogged. Guess I'm pretty lazy nowadays or busy with VAG Club site updates and etc, but anyhow.. since I've got the mood to write something here, might aswell I guess?

Really, there's not much activity going on and yes, I'm still jobless. I'm enjoying my days for far too long and I think I should be looking for a job now but heck, I still think that I'm not ready yet for a job.

Chilling and enjoying my life moments are what I'm doing right now. Though the sunset at the beach are an eyesore to me according to the situation lately. I can't apply myself to be happy when I see such things. I'm practically 'blank'. I just don't feel anything.

For as long as I'm jobless, I'm trying to fix certain things which were broken already. I'm still clueless, and I don't know how to fix it.

Car Washing Guide

Car washing guide

So I would like to share a little bit with my experience of car-wash techniques and taking care of the paint.

To start, I'm actually a car-care detailing freak to be honest. The car I'm driving is hard to start with actually as there were so much swirl-marks, deep scratches and some sand-blasting on it. I tried alot of different techniques to remove it, and with some help from the Internet and the people I know.. I might just restore this piece of it's paint back to it's old shiny-condition I hope!

The Rules:

(Droppings, insects, etc)

I know we all hate bird droppings, langgar insects time Magrib and such when it lands on our car. It's ugly, berigali and mana-mana lah. Its inevitable when a bird dropping gets landed on your shiny paint, but if it does happen.. Get this in your head - CLEAN IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! 24-48 Hours in that time period before that particular spot gets damaged by the acid from the dropping and leaving it enough time to eat the clearcoat away! Anything more than that, don't bother trying to clean it with generic soap and sponge. It won't happen! Use a proper polishing/waxing techniques to remove it.

(Use proper dry-cloths)

Some people use those tuala mandi (and mostly at Carwash di Gadong) to dry off the car. Well guess what, these types of towels are the main contribution of swirl-marks you get on the paint. The surface of the towel is not dry-cloth specific and could even trap sand/small stones between the surface. You don't want to imagine what happens when you wipe off the whole car with these contained in the towel.

If possible, get at least 3-4 proper dryclothes. There's alot of good ones I saw in our Supermarket, (PPG, Meguiars, Turtlewax) rather than those generic $1 towels. Personally I use PPG myself, but I only have one so I had to dry and wash the towel everytime at least to dry the surface of my car.

(Waxing)

The cheapest and the quickest way to restore back the shine of your car are usually applying a protective film which we either apply it by hand, or by machine.. is Waxing. I would recommend waxing at least once a month to protect the clear coat. And no, waxing does not eat away your clear coat. It's not abrasive, and does not 'levels' deep scratches to even out and so-called remove the swirl marks (Polishing does). Most waxes has a 'filler' to fill out these micro-scratches on the surface which in effect, seems like you removed the scratches.

And yes, the more wax coat you apply.. the shiny-er the paint becomes and more swirl-marks will be hidden. As far as I know, you SHOULDN'T apply another coat of wax within 48 hours prior after applying the first one. Doing so just removes the first coat again because of the time needed to embed on the paint and curing. So if you're going to apply multiple coats, let it cure for 48 hours then apply another coat. Repeat process until pinggang belakang rasa kan tecabut rasa nya.

(Polishing)

Though, I don't have much experience in this. Only tried a few times but I do know they help to remove most deep scratches from the car's surface. It's quite abrasive, so I wouldn't recommend to keep 'polishing' your car. I think do polishing at least twice a year. It's more than enough. Anything more would hurt and peel off the clear-coat!

(Carwashing Behaviours/Discipline)

I would like to go more brief on this and yes there actually a discipline in car washing! Have you ever thought:

- Where did you keep the dry-towels while washing the car?
- Is the detergent solution in the basin stays reasonably clean to actually dip back the sponge in and out to continue 'soaping'?
- Did you start from bottom and then upwards when washing the car instead?
- Do you have a habit of putting your hand on the car for support while washing?
- Do you let the soap dry on the surface, thinking.. "Ah baik tah ku sabun dulu semua, baru ku basuh" ?
- You have a pressure washer, do you let the pressure to remove the sand alone?
- Having a thought of "Pressing the sponge down harder" makes the car cleaner and easier to remove the dirts?

If there's at least "1" yes, then you should consider the effects!

- For the first one, you shouldn't have kept the dry-cloths on the floor, on the driveway, behind another car's bonnet, and etc. Afterall, that is your dry-cloth! You're not trying to grab small dirts and trap it there? I always keep mine in the car's passenger seat or somewhere where I wouldn't trap dirts easily on the cloth itself. A little common-sense would do!

- After awhile, the detergent inside the basin gets clouded up by the dirt and sand which gets trapped by the sponge or wash-mitt you're using. There's a method to prevent this altogether. The Two Bucket car wash technique. Fill one bucket with soapy water and fill the other with clean water. Each time you’re ready to reload your sponge with soapy water, dip it in the clean water first, to rinse out the grit and contamination you’ve just removed from your vehicle. Then dip it in the soapy water and continue washing.

- Always start washing from the top, and work your way downwards. I know certain internet websites should ask to wash the wheels first then the bodywork.. but to me, wheels are the most 'dirtest' part of the car. Imagine the wheel well, the brake dusts.. You don't want those to drag on your paintwork.

- Well this is just me I guess. I know we have to support ourselves from falling down to the ground while washing the lower parts of the car. To me, putting even a fingerprint means 'dirt'. Your washing the car, not putting up handprints on the car. This also especially useful and important when drying the car. Sometimes, our hand gets sweaty. Leaving a print behind to me doesn't look like a car that just has been washed! Windshields and side windows are the easiest to catch these handprints. Try to have the discipline, "No hand contacts on the surface of the car while washing and drying".

- Never ever leave a soap dry while washing the car. Have you ever sometimes noticed an annoying water-mark on the surface? This causes it. Certain conditions accelerate this effect like for example, washing the car on a streak sunshine (Panas kali ah jua), a bad or just not good enough car-wash detergent. Find a cool spot, and wash there. As long you're washing the car, you would want the whole car to be entirely 'wet' until it's time to dry up the car.

- Personally I have the Car Pressure Washer owned by my dad. I did practiced awhile using it, and I recommend "NOT" to pressure off the derbis from the surface. Imagine that the pressure actually 'rolls' the sharp small edges of the dirt on the surface of the car. Let the sponge do the job!

- This is based from experience, and yes I did thought so. Infact, it worsens the effect of making more swirl marks! I tried to practice using only slight effort over the surface when 'sponging'. If it doesn't remove, get a bug-repellant spray or such cleaners to ease the removal. Repeat the process on that surface. Remember, hard surfacing scratches the clear coat leaving that dull and full-of-scratches look.

Sorry if this information is a little 'overhead', 'too much' or too 'freak' in someway.. but this write-up will be to those who want to know some basics about car washing and care. This way, hopefully those car shines much longer than people expected. Have some love for you rides man. Sikit-sikit modding. Caring nya mana?

I learnt such alot guides from internet, and mostly based on personal experience. Sometimes it's fun, and that's what being a car enthusiast is all about?

So please, I recommend only Techwax Carwash by Meguiars. It does make a difference. /ad

One of 1M's biggest maintenance schedule. Have you ever checked your car's ATF? It's as important as servicing Motor Oil. Think of this, if you don't change the Motor Oil, you'll lose the engine right? Now think what will happen if you don't change the Transmission fluid = Lose your gearbox!

Had it done for $237 at HSH Workshop.

You don't want it to happen first right? Think that $237 is too much? Sekadar tekarang pasal kan service keta? A new gearbox usually costs around.. $2k-$3k. *whistles*.

At first before the session start, we all met up at "The Arch" around 2.30pm supposingly. But at 2.00pm, I was still at Kaybee, washing and waxing 1M. I came late, just because of that! :d (Sorry guys).

After everyone arrived, first venue was at the Batu Besurat Electric Station parking lot. Sweet spot to take pictures here, but sadly.. the rain poured down heavily, and we had to find another spot. Off we went to Hua Ho Manggis Basement. Then finally, arah somewhere in Berakas. Lupa ku tempat nya.

And so, I honestly think if I were to get a new car, that one would be the only replacement as of my current car. Yeah, I like it alot. Looks like I'm not going to sell off 1M afterall. It's in my head all the time, that I couldn't just let 1M go.

On Tuesday, I went to Bandar to accompany my mum settling out some documents. I wondered though, so we arrived to one of Gadong's Used Car Place. The first I thing I noticed was this:

Oh so we're getting a new car.

No not the Gallardo. But I wasn't in my mood to fool around with my mum asking, "Mum, are we taking this one?". Anyhow, we went outside to see the car that my dad's getting.

After the sorting out the documents and bla-bla things were done, went for a car wash while my mum, "again" doing some errands at Incomm Gadong. I waited at the car wash just to take care of things.

Those events were two days ago. Though yesterday, I stayed at Matt's house just to chill out and expected to play some games. But my bad, I forgot to bring any of my gears or rigs. :s Anyhow, just chillax-ing and discussed about alot of things.

Today I decided to check on 1M's status. Went to the workshop my parents sent (well kinda-ish >.>) 1M to. So now, they already replaced the waterpump. Still, I noted them to check the hoses to see if there's any leak.

The freaking main problem of the whole 2 months I've been through:

So expect around 2-3 days from now, the car will be fixed.. and yes, sampat ne BruStu's Ride photoshoot on 5th April 2009. Mau kasih polish itu kereta banyak-banyak cantik. Heck, it's been 2 months since the car last washed. :p

Then, I went to Maziz's house... went to the beach with the 1st Quarter Family.

Alot of good things happened today. Well I'm lost for words, but I can only say thanks to the mum, and the 1st Quarter family. Mum, you're great just to fix my car. 1M's finally in the workshop now after nagging so much to my dad to do it. My mum called me this afternoon saying like, "Wan, your car's getting fixed and I sent it to YC workshop". I was actually on my way to Bandar with the 1st Quarter family after getting pissed by RTB (Not going into details for that).

Chilled at the Mall. There was some kind of B-mobile roadshow going on. Then the Gadong Foodstall to get something to eat, then checked out Pantai Serasa (unfortunately it was raining) and finally went to Empire Hotel. I finally had a real vent to release out all my stress. The scene, the environment, the ambient at that night... It was my first time to be there this year. Jarang bah ke sana.

After being there, we all decided to hit home. Ngalih, seharian, haha. Oh well, random pics. Don't mind the blurry pictures, it's a fricking N80 anyway:

Bekulat, and birdshit all over. Reason is that I'm somewhat discouraged to clean it all up. It's almost 2 months now.. never washed, never cleaned..

I finally just got TFF certified. Don't know what's TFF? Click.

Had the first Counter-Strike 1.6 friendly match with some clan lupa ku namanya (Sorry!) tapi pokoknya ku kenal lah durang. It's from the LANParty-ers jua anyway. Spent my two days away here at Bandar just for the match. Won the game, congrats to to the Team jua.

Also tested a few new geek stuffs you can say, like Windows 7 Beta Build and the 'I-always-wanted-to-try' new AMD Phenom II rig that belonged to my friend. I'll be posting up the reviews soon I guess kalau aku rajin.

It's alright.. Taking a break from the band, (a break like "literally" breaking off) and start off with something new. Saying that, check out at e-Mart on 28th of March (Awu Miri lah obviously), it will be my last performance with them. Guess I think I know what I'll be when I'm moving out from Belait to Bandar soon. Hopefully I can manage my time more without that.

Everything else too is taking a break. Project band is taking a halt too.

I do think that I'm getting myself back together lately. No I've not changed to something else. I'm just trying to be my oldself back. It's what I'm comfortable again.

Oh before you're going to say, "Ada game clan? How's that going to support your time?". Well, I face the PC everyday. Not a day and night difference to me. And it's not like a 24/7 thing and balik akhir like I used too. Great, great..

I'm waking up to days I don't want to face. I'm troubled too much. Guess what? I don't even know what I'm doing anymore.

And I'm done. Sudah tah, leave me alone. Yes, that's what I want.

So another day I guess for a random blogpost.

I wanted to fix up a few things at home since I always been going out from home. First off the list was try to patch up 1M, and yes she's dirtiest as ever. But I'll be continuing to keep washing and waxing again after I fixed the car up. And no, I'm still waiting for the parts I've ordered online to replace the damaged parts of 1M. (Bother to know? Waterpump, Thermostat Module and T-Belt kit). That'll fix the overheating problem of it! -_-

Then fixing the PC. I need to reformat and setup two systems. One is my brother's spare rig, and the other one is mine. It's been weeks since I decided to fix the system altogether. The motherboard was in another box, while my RAM was at my dressing table. Messy much? Haha. Finally I got them to put all of them together. No in-progress pictures this time. Was too busy to make it done asap.

And yes, I have a new graphics card for my pc (ATI HD3650 AGP). I know it's not the best, but it's something I can get before the 7th Lanparty (TFF). YAY, and that.. 24/7 online on desktop soon. :) Kesian laptop ku on saja.

Hey look, the sickboy just got a new lame haircut.

Mama ku tu majal. And it's really short, and aku sasak. Enough of short hairs. Aku mau macam mop-hair sekali wah. Bersih jua kan lantai rumah ku.. apakan.

And I went to the hospital again in the afternoon, emergency for the 2nd time. Acid Reflux, or was it Gastric? Either lah.. shares the same symptoms anyway I guess? I was too sick to eat properly for the last few days, so I guess that's why.

But it's all good.. it's all good. :)

And I mean, really sick. I don't wanna to go all into the details cause I'm still exhausted to type it all, but here's what I can tell you for now:

- After the Prom Night Performance @ 3rd Floor Swiss, I ate at Wywy.
- I felt sick when I got at my second home.
- I can't sleep as comfortable as I used to. I was 1/2 awake for .. (4AM-9AM) of the time slept.
- I was fully awake later, went to the toilet and vomit the hell out.
- Felt better awhile, but my appendix acted up-ish. I tried went back to sleep.
- Woke up, vomited again. I got real sick at this point.
- That evening, Faiz sent me to hospital (thanks bro), and got admitted.
- Drip, drip.. drip.. First day impressions at the ward? I thought I was gonna die, lol.
- Still there's the bandmates visited me even after visiting hours. All hail to you guys for the support.
- 2nd day and 3rd day, just wasting my days away.. but I was getting better.
- Had been ultra-sound to see if I got a baby in my intestines. There's nothing and it was normal.
- With friends visited me, it does give me some moral support. :'-) Definitely getting better.
- 4th day, the last day (of which the day I wrote this), the infection has gone, blood samples results came good. I was able to leave the hospital in the afternoon. Mum took me, and then took my car from Faiz house, and I finally reached home late after.

So how do I feel now?

I still.. need. more. RESTS. It was hell of what I've been through. It might just a food poisoning or a appendix query, but who knows what could have happened? No I'm not saying I'm scared of death, but I've still got alot of things to do and say. So take care guys and girls, look after yourself. :)

I never agreed if someone said, "Life is unfair" or the vice versa meaning. To me, it's just how the things evolves around you.

Just ask the question to yourself, "Am I doing the right thing?" to every actions you've done.

I'm going downhill faster than ever this time. I felt this before, and I still don't know how to get myself back up. I ever said that school was my life (yes, despite how horrendous sometime school can get), but it's the only time for me to get away from home and spend my time outside. Friends are like my second family. Without them, I'd be dead now hanging lifeless, sitting infront of my computer all day in my room and listen to my parents nagging about me every time just about everything. Isn't it amazing? And no, this is not the first time.

Sometimes I feel like I can't make people appreciate for things I've done, but I'm not hoping for such. Am I being disrespected? Just because I'm that young around them? Sometimes I just wanna give the finger to them who just can't get what I mean. Doesn't mean that every time I shut myself up is just because I'm not willing to fight back. I have my patience, and I've been holding it back for too long now. I have my reasons too.

Maybe I don't deserve it at all, despite how much I wanted for it.. and that includes everything around me. If my life is destined to be like this, then all I can say is to at least hold on for a little while longer and accept it even though if it were to be the most retarded life moments ever in my life. I hoped for the world to be a better place to live in, but.. things around me (particularly me), I almost lost myself. Why can I just be like anybody else who lives happy?

I'm done fake-ing smiles and shit. I just don't know for long I could hold on this way. Really, it feels forever.

So after the RTB recording session, I felt somewhat like I've gained more freetime now. I don't think there will be another one where I go jamming 24/7 again. But I feel wasted. Waking up to an empty morning/afternoon with no job or whatsoever. Some school holiday that is, and I've got like 2 months to go for holidays. But anyhow, I feel better since I can have my rest more often now. :)

1st Quarter RTB Recording

So I had to sleep at bandar for like 3 days at my band's uncle house (Rimba). The RTB Recording was for "Rentak Kita" of which will be aired sometime in February or so. It was really tiring as we had to bring our own Guitar/Bass/Keyboard and the Amplifiers along with the Drumset.

We arrived at "Amit" Aman's house (Sama macam si Faiz rupanya, haha) at around 8pm. We didn't unloaded the amps cause we were too tired. Instead, we just parked our cars behind his house (yes, for security reasons). The last incident happened at their uncle's house was his Guitar, the Gibson Les Paul Studio was stolen. Awu banar-banar, I'm not kidding. Rumah nya kana pacah, but there was no one home during that time. But still we had to becareful.

Regardless, after settling down for awhile, we were going out to Hua-ho to find some new clothes. Bought some snacks and we went back to Rimba.

We had some conversations before we went to sleep, talking about what's going to happen the next day (Recording day), and what we were going to do. Alot of things went through my mind. I had trouble going to sleep for awhile. But though, one of my thoughts got answered, and finally went to sleep better. :)

The next morning, we had to wake up early to set up our things at RTB Studio. Up at 10am, we already on our way there. Weird thing is, the manager for our band told us they will do the soundchecks and setup before the afternoon.

We went there, and it's like... "Ampai barang saja"? With no commands issued to us, we just went on doing nothing. The drums were set though, and personally I thought it looked cool if its going to be aired on TV.

So after setting up and things, it was almost 1:30PM and felt "L" for Friday's Prayers. We went for lunch, and was told at 2PM, the rehearsal and recording session would start. We were going back to Rimba until the manager told us this, "Eh mana kamu? 1:45 kamu mesti ada balik. Durang menunggu sudah ne, mental sudah". And we were like, what the hell? We haven't even went home to Rimba yet to change our clothes for the recording session. Confused, some just went there to the Studio while me and Maziz still had to go to Rimba to take our clothes. Running late, we had to zoom from Yayasan (at where we had lunch) to Rimba, then back to RTB!

Then the manager saw us, went blabbering and I was like giving the "Whatever" looks, and sampat lagi tu ya kan comment pasal sound keyboard ku? What do he knows? Everyone was pissed off. Then I had to still went for a damn makeup, (palui paluh-paluh kan bemakeup!). By then, everything was set at around 3PM. And we're like "Thanks for the misinformation, kami gagas" kinda environment. We still went on for the show. Then the session started.

With the background lights ready, soundchecked and camera's rolling.. we were blasting the Studio Hall with our beat. But firstly, we were still not in the heat. But later on, I felt my voice came back. And yes, it actually does went well. Although a couple of mistakes, we were reluctant to macam cakap, "Umm boleh sekali lagi? Tadi ada salah sikit ah". The crew there looked pretty scary, but still friendly somehow. We requested to record "Selamat Tinggal Kasihku" one more time and they were okay about it. Tapi macam tanya penerbit durang lagi and things like that, malas tia kami for other songs. So the songlist were:

1) J-Rocks - Ceria
2) J-Rocks - Lepaskan Diri Ku
3) J-Rocks - Selamat Tinggal Kasihku
4) J-Rocks - Semakin Sendiri
5) Dream Theater - About To Crash.

Yang aku puas hati was Lepaskan Diriku and About To Crash. The rest were okay, but not really perfect but who cares. We're getting paid anyway, haha!

The session then ended at 6PM. Packed our things back to the car, and we were going to a nearby Food Stall to satisfy the hunger and thirst we had during the recording session. Everyone was tired, but we were still doing things and talk things like nothing happened back there at RTB. Everybody felt better, then we all went back home to Rimba to refresh ourselves. And yeah, it was like a day went well.

Then si Walid had this weird idea of going to the mall to watch a movie. And we were like, "AAAAAA?". Aku mana saja, and I know like the others, kalau kana lanja okay eh. He didn't wanted, but we still went to the mall just to chill out. Jumpa durang si Is arah Hair Rock, and jalan-jalan lagi, main arcade then baru tah balik. Bosan banar? Though, at that point.. we split ways because it was Saturday tomorrow and some had to go to work/school, etc. Those who didn't went home (me, Fattah, Faiz, Maziz and Barry) went back to Rimba. We chilled out until early morning(-ish) until we were too tired and went to sleep.

Next morning, we had to wake up early somehow because Maziz's SO wanted to treat us for lunch and.. at the Mall. Haha! And aku macam, mana saja! Aku lapar ne. Hahaha. Mandi, and etc.. We met her at the Mall, then ate at.. eh apa nama kadai nya ane ah? First time aku di sana. Kesian aku, hahaha.

Ordered this, and it was really good actually. Inda ku tau lah ah kalau pasal aku lapar, but I felt macam "Oh baru tah aku pernah rasa Nasi Briyani ane nyaman". HAHAHA! After lunch, back to Rimba and supposingly going home at 4PM, we stalled at Rimba due to bad weather? And went back home at 9PM instead.

Back at Maziz's house, we unloaded the gears, chilled for awhile then I went home. I finally stepped on my door's footsteps and I thought... "Home sweet home". Took my bath, online sekejap then tidor! :)

So yeah, I guess that was a "real" trip. Things like these would come along more often soon. I know "1st Quarter" is going somewhere. I am hoping.

I think I have a bad habit of not sleeping in the morning lately. 5 hours of sleep per day won't do me good.

TFF Lanparty 08' (26 December)

Team Frag Factory hosted a Lanparty 'again' for the 4th time (which includes twice last year and twice this year.. I think), from 26 December till 28 December. Of course, this is my second time attending the Lanparty.

There's alot of games offered this time around to play together with another gamers but with their own choice. You could play PS3's "Rockband" and play along with another gamer, or.. stick to your own PC and play Call of Duty: 4 and Call of Duty: World at War (Zombie mode, Free-for-all, Tourney, Domination, etc)., Left 4 Dead, DoTA, Counter-Strike 1.6 and some people even play Spore.. well not officially in the gamelists of TFF's Lanparty but I played Spore too and it was awesome actually.

Most of the gamers are actually just Students (ITB/UBD), some form 6 I think, and mostly in their 20+s. Some are already working too.

Gamers had to bring their own thousand-dollars rigs equipped with their latest Graphics card and Motherboard combination to stand the competition if they're gonna play. Slow computers can only kiss the scoreboard goodbye; it's worthless really. Still, if they can't play some games, they could play other less demanding games like DoTA.

Since the Lanparty lasts for 3 days, some gamers decided to sleep over the venue. That includes sleeping infront of the computer, on the sofa or some with thin bedsheets and sleep on the floor. Doesn't sound comfortable ain't it? With ambient room temperatures feels colder than usual a/c (to compensate the heat produced from 10+ computer systems), you can even feel the bites at your finger tips trying to tell you that you should be outside and get warmed-up. The best part is, every gaming session, there's a 10-20 minute break and where gamers can get some refreshments.

The refreshments are not free, but only if you paid $1 just for the entrance-fee of the Lanparty. Yep, just a dollar. So tell all your friends if they're going to join this TFF Lanparty, is open to all gamers. We're looking forward to see more gamers participating in the competition.

Singapore Trip.

So, for those who didn't knew.. I went to Singapore last Friday for Mak Man's Wedding for three days (that is until Sunday). When we arrived at Singapore at around 10AM, I had to help them preparing for the occasion in the afternoon! Talk about being tired. But I didn't wanted to slack as it was for them, helping them out would be so much better than me doing nothing at my cousin's bedroom. We stayed at Tante su's house at Tampines for the trip. Yes, there are kids.. and I got headache of them but sure they would be your good companion when you need a little bit of... noises around, haha. I passed out at 12AM after helping them out at the Wedding Hall. I know I didn't helped much anyway, MUAHAHA.

Next morning, the solemnization was carried out at the bride's place. Pengantin was escorted back (along with the berian yang kiyot lagi mempersonakan) to the Hall where the wedding ceremony took place until .. midnight! Also, there was a band accompanying for the whole day, playing the old folks song, wedding songs and etc. My uncle was playing the keyboard for the band, and yes.. he was awesome! Guess that I got some of the keyboard genes from him kali, a musician family jua lah kali. Most of my cousins do play musical instruments anyway. By midnight, everyone went home hopefully to take their good baths and rest. I got home at the same time as the others, took my bath and being so damned exhausted, I kinda lie-down on the floor at the living room, and slept literally.

I woke up the next morning around 10AM (sigh, mun rumah ku sendiri wah...). The little cousins wanted to bring me jalan-jalan. Didn't went far, only until Tampines Mall. Bought KFCs (awu aku tau ane ada di Brunei), lanja cousins for freaking toys and blah. We had to be home before 6PM as I had to pack my things back as soon before departure back to Brunei. So, I didn't get to shop for clothes, shoes, ole2, and 1M's spare parts of which I actually wished for. It wasn't a Holiday vacation anyway. My brother and I was the first to go back to Brunei while my parents will be back two days later. After packing and everything, Mamak Mus sent us to the airport about two hours before Departure. Had Burger Kings with the cousins and parents just before going into the Departure Hall. Later, we boarded the plane for a 1.5 hour flight back to Brunei.

Upon arriving at Brunei, it was around 11PM. We were greeted by my brother's fiancee parents and my uncle/auntie. My brother decided to stay at Bandar as he was too tired to drive home while I drove back alone from the airport to my house. When I reached home, I went straight to my bedroom with my bags and etc, turned on the aircon and went straight to bed. "I miss my bed, I miss my pillows, I miss my 1M". Those were the thoughts when I was still on my bed, almost getting to sleep, haha. I know when I wakeup the next morning, it would be just like any other Monday. Getting up early just for attendance really -_-".

Hasty vacation? You bet. And aku masih ngalih, aku mau tidorrr sepanjang2 hari to replenish all my resting times. :s

Cerita si 1M

Awu lah aku mau jua ceta sal si 1M kan.

So for the last two or three weeks, things weren't going too well with 1M (more like went sick for a moment). I had problem with the central locks not working. Thought I shorted something while I was changing my interior lights. After some troubleshooting, figured was I only blown a fuse. Replaced the fuse, and everything's back to normal, phew.

Following the next few days, I was cleaning my engine bay when I found out that my vacuum hose was breaking down again. Just to let you know, a bad vacuum hose can lead to unstable idling and loss of engine response. It can even shuts down your engine tetarus when you're driving slow (yes, Auto cars buleh mati engine jua when there's something wrong with the engine). But it wasn't at a point where the hose bucur abis, so kira okay masih lah. Fixed with some cheap tapes for now (Will get some OEM hoses at some later time, ngah).

But the problem doesn't stop there, even the water radiator hose was breaking too, bad news. I couldn't fix that one because I would need to replace the whole hose. To fix it with some tape, it won't last long with some more than 90 degrees water coolant gushing through that hose. Still, it's not that bad.. only a small leak but I still need to be more attentive to my water coolant levels now as the level dries faster than it was.

THEN, (awu ada lagi).. my kick-down pedal switch broke. What the hell, macam makin betambah. Need to send the car to the agent to check on that one. And finally, the freaking left passenger door doesn't work normally. Mesti cuba balik2 buka, baru tebuka pintu. Even the window doesn't work anymore. I know a friend who did that, luan cecapi.. Antak nya pintu ku twice kuat berabis. Kan ku tampar pulang tu, tapi malas ku.. bini-bini jua lah kan. Rusak pulang pintu ku. Malas ku sabut nama nya.

Hmm..

BUT on the brighter side of 1M, I've been washing and waxing the car more and more lately (trying to restore the paint and deepen the depth of the color) with my new washing . Replaced the front sidelights LED from white to blue (I know, I'm just experimenting how it looks like):

Then also, I wanted to update the interior of the car since the outside always get done first. By next week, the interiors will be recushioned/refurbished/whatever. Just done the door cards for now:

I've also changed the rather-cheesy looking ceiling fabric to something more plain and generic looking. It was the same design/pattern as the door card (yang macam di pintu ah: weird Beige Polygons type of pattern, before changing it to fabric-black as of now). Changed the ceiling fabric now to plain grey.

Really, my mum yang pilih those designs way back then before I officially had the car keys. It doesn't even match the door pillars punya colour yang warna grey banar nya. I'll get better pictures of the interior once everything's done.

Other little bits of 1M: "SEAT" Wheel caps, Mudflap, and bought myself a "SEAT-Sport" Lanyard. Semangat jua ku turun kraja pakai lanyard atu with my Work-tag kan, hahaha.

Finally got some new and shiny shoes for 1M. Instead of getting the 17" SSR as opposed, I got a better deal and bought 18" Mille Miglia Evo 5 Wheels (Original, 225/40/18 ZR18 with Falken Ziex).

I still need to get the car cleaned and wax. Some lowering coilovers, lips and side skirts, then I'm done for the looks. Ngalih ku spending-spending saja. And yeah, pics:

Am I looking forward? I should be.
Should I ignore those past and move on? Of course.
Do I need firecrackers and flashy lights for it? Not necessarily.
Do I still need them to say their apologies to me? It's up to them.
Why of all the questions? I don't really know.

Cause above all of those, I think.. it'll just be like last year. Nothing's changing despite how people think they are. Like, do I look like I've changed? If you thought so, then I guess you don't really know alot of me. It's a life cycle. When we see people die, then they start thinking of religious things. People happy, they start to think that what they gained in life are already achieved and forget the others. People sad, they think their life should be wasted. Especially during these times.

Here in this biggy blue and green planet earth, is just temporary. Why act alot for your own desires? Why everytime people during the festive season like 'Hari Raya', go spend alot? What 'Hari Raya' really means to you anyway?

Yes, as you might thought already.. I'm not looking forward for another Hari Raya with all the cliché(s). It's boring.

To be honest I have my future and family matters to worry about and also my car which also has things to revise for. It's my responsibility to look after those things. At home, they see me as a guest in a ballpark. How the hell I should be happy when I'm feeling so fucked up like that? I can't even think my future like this and I don't think I should be able to get a good job and make my 'good' parents proud. Mesti high-class la konon kali ah. Mun inda kana sumpah saja sampai durang mati. I tried to be humble and it's up to kamu to judge aku, well maybe I think I didn't tried hard enough.

The car? My dad trusted me to look over it, and hence.. (--)

If you don't like the way I am, fine.. go ahead and try to find another person that suits you guys the most. I doubt you can find one or maybe.. just get a real life, drama kings and queens.

So I was in my 'choosing the exhaust setup dilemma' these few weeks which also bogged my mind, and my parents blabbering about ruining the car. From Sport Muffler with stock Resonator setup and then Sport Muffler with 2.5" Straight Pipe setup with no resonator, I finally chose the route to go Sport Muffler + 2.5" Straight Pipe setup and Resonator. God bless the people who cursed me when I had the 'fart-can' effect around town. Finally I got a good resonator (Apex'i Resonator) along with my current exhaust system.

Luckily I got rid of that shitty sound. It rumbles nicely now. No more fart can effect!

And today, I also installed my Euro-Customs Strut brace kit. They had to drill it! Yes.. i mean, taking that drill bit and poke it at the body work! But oh well, it payed off later. :p

Infact, I was skeptical with the car's handling after installing such kits like this one. But to be honest (I mean really), the car actually handles better at corners. Less understeering now and much sharper handling. Though, the understeering is still there due to the fact I'm still using balloon tires and stock suspension, there's still room for improvement. I know, i know.. sikit-sikit dulu tah. And guess what? I'm happy! :)

Oh before ending this post, when I got home.. there was a little surprise for me:
